Elegant: A Futuristic Boat Concept

Reimagining the Future of Water Transport

The motivation behind Elegant stemmed from a visit to a Yacht Club, where Tekotskiy noticed a lack of modernity in the existing boat designs. Determined to offer his own vision of a boat concept in the era of information technology, he embarked on a two-week intensive project in Moscow, Russia.

Elegant stands out from traditional boats with its minimalist approach and integration of smartphones. The design features smooth body shapes, two touch screens, and a steering wheel that focuses on essential elements. By combining metal, plastic, glass, and digital technologies, Tekotskiy has created a vessel that exudes elegance and simplicity.

Measuring 9450 in length, 2975 in width, and with a draft of 900, Elegant showcases the perfect balance between form and function. Its association with a spaceship is achieved through the simplicity of its design, reminiscent of a sleek and futuristic spacecraft.

Operating Elegant is a seamless experience, thanks to the integration of two large touch screens and a built-in voice assistant. Apart from the steering wheel, all controls are carried out through these touch screens, providing a user-friendly interface for navigation and other functionalities.

The realization of Elegant involved the use of various technologies, including 3D modeling and visualization tools such as 3ds Max, RizomUV, and Photoshop. The design challenges were primarily centered around software limitations, with Tekotskiy seeking a program that would facilitate the articulation of complex geometric shapes. While he explored options like Rhinoceros 3D and Fusion 360, he found that they lacked the necessary functions for his specific modeling needs.

Elegant's materials include carbon fiber, alcantara, wood, and glass, further enhancing its luxurious and sophisticated appeal. This design has garnered recognition in the industry, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Yacht and Marine Vessels category in 2021. This prestigious accolade is a testament to Elegant's well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements.
